The Kings of the Court Return to Brixton Recreation Centre

For the third straight year, the Kings of the Court will take to the hardwood at one of London’s most iconic basketball venues — Brixton Recreation Centre.

A landmark of British hoops culture, Brixton Rec has produced legends, hosted countless showcases, and remains the heartbeat of South London basketball. For the Kings, it’s more than a venue — it’s home.

A Legacy that Runs Deep

Brixton Rec has long stood as a proving ground for the country’s top talent. From its famous Friday nights to its electric game-day atmosphere, the gym carries an energy that can’t be replicated.
The Kings of the Court have built their identity around that same spirit — passion, intensity, and a standard that demands excellence on every possession.

Three Years, One Mission

Since moving their games to Brixton, the Kings of the Court have used the space not just for competition, but for connection — bringing together players, coaches, and fans from across London’s basketball community. Each season has seen growth: bigger crowds, stronger rosters, and rising visibility for British basketball.

“Brixton is part of who we are,” said a team spokesperson. “It’s where the culture lives. Every time we step on that court, we’re representing the next generation of hoopers coming out of the city.”

Looking Ahead

With another season ahead, the Kings of the Court aim to keep raising the bar — faster pace, higher stakes, and more opportunities for young talent to be seen on a national stage.
The Rec’s unmistakable energy will once again be the backdrop for rivalries, highlights, and moments that define what Kings of the Court basketball is all about.

So when the lights come on in Brixton and the crowd starts to rise — you already know what time it is.

The Kings are home.
