Video Submission

Video Submission

A ROUTE BUILT FOR PLAYERS WHOSE GAME SPEAKS IN DIFFERENT WAYS.

Not every player shines in an open trial.
Not every player can attend a tournament.
Not every player’s strengths show in chaotic, mixed-pool environments.

Some players show their value across full games.
Some through structure, spacing and discipline.
Some through season-long performances.
Some through consistent team impact.

The Video Submission Route exists to make sure those players are seen.

WHY THIS ROUTE EXISTS

Because real basketball is bigger than one environment.

Trials and tournament events can highlight:

  • creators
  • aggressive guards
  • players who impose themselves quickly
  • high-tempo scorers

But they don’t always show:

  • system players
  • rim protectors
  • rebounders
  • glue players
  • high-IQ decision-makers
  • structured point guards
  • defensive specialists
  • off-ball contributors
  • quiet leaders
  • players returning from injury
  • athletes with overseas commitments

The Video Submission Route ensures none of these profiles fall through the cracks.

WHO THIS ROUTE IS FOR

This pathway is designed for players who:

COULDN’T ATTEND AN OPEN TRIAL

due to travel, injury, overseas season, or scheduling clashes.

DON’T SUIT TRIAL/TOURNAMENT ENVIRONMENTS

because their value shows best across full games, structure or defined roles.

WERE OVERLOOKED OR OVERSHADOWED

during trial sessions.

HAVE STRONG SEASON-LONG PERFORMANCE

that doesn’t translate in a condensed trial format.

ARE DEVELOPING STEADILY

and want to put updated footage into the conversation.

This route keeps the door open for talent that traditional trials don’t always reveal.

WHAT TO SUBMIT

A HIGHLIGHT REEL (RECOMMENDED)
  • 2–4 minutes
  • best moments only
  • clear video angles
FULL GAME FOOTAGE (STRONGLY RECOMMENDED)
  • complete match
  • visible camera angle
  • consistent moments
  • shows reads, IQ and team value
OPTIONAL EXTRAS
  • season clips
  • club footage
  • academy or European games
  • stat lines or coach reference (not required)

The more complete the picture, the better the evaluation.

HOW EVALUATION WORKS

Footage is reviewed by pathway evaluators looking for:

  • decision-making
  • spacing & role execution
  • defensive engagement
  • consistency
  • contribution beyond scoring
  • competitive identity
  • physical readiness
  • potential fit within the NXT U23 environment

If your film shows the level required, you may be invited to the Final Assessment Day — the last step before league selection.

THIS IS NOT A SHORTCUT

The Video Submission Route doesn’t bypass standards.

It simply ensures that players:

  • who excel in structured systems
  • who perform across full games
  • who contribute in less flashy roles
  • who faced injury or scheduling challenges

…still have a route into the top of the pathway.

It’s an alternate route — not an easier one.

IF SELECTED

You’ll receive an invitation to the Final Assessment Day, where:

  • Golden Ticket athletes
  • and
  • Video Submission athletes

…compete side-by-side for places in the NXT U23 League.

This is where everything is decided.

IF NOT SELECTED

Your journey isn’t finished.

You can:

  • submit updated film later
  • attend the next Open Trial
  • compete in a future KOTC event
  • continue building your game in club or academy settings
Development doesn’t move in straight lines
— and neither does opportunity.

SUBMIT YOUR FOOTAGE

If your game is better shown through film — we want to see it.
